14:00 - 18:30
If your doctor has advised long-term drug therapy, repeat prescriptions can be ordered by telephone on Crewkerne (01460) 72435 (option 2) between 9am and 12 noon, by registering for the online Patient Access service, by post enclosing an S.A.E, or in person. You can also do this by e-mail to firstname.lastname@example.org
Please be sure to give full and accurate details of the medication you require, including the name and strength by referring to the tear-off slip on the back of your prescription. We recommend that you bring or send this slip to the Practice, deleting those items that you do not need, to ensure we issue you with your exact requirements.
The prescription form for requests received will be ready for collection 72 hours later (3 working days). (Saturday and Sunday are not working days). For example if we receive your request on Monday, the prescription form will be ready for collection after 2pm on Thursday and for a request received on Friday, the prescription form will be ready for collection after 2pm on the following Wednesday.
If you have asked for your prescription form to be sent directly to a local pharmacy, they will need an additional 24 hours to make sure that your medication is ready for collection (i.e. a total of four working days from when you requested it). Please make sure that your pharmacy is aware that they should be collecting your prescription forms. All the chemists in Crewkerne and the one in Merriott operate a collection service - contact them direct for details.
From July 20th 2016 the practice has offered an electronic prescription service. Please click here for further information.
Please make an appointment in good time if your doctor asks to review your medication before your next prescription is due. Please note that the doctors will not normally prescribe a new medication, or medication you have not taken for some time, without seeing you.
Please allow 72 hours, excluding weekends and Bank Holidays, for your request to be processed. Any problems please telephone 01460 72435 (Option 2) between 9am and 12 noon.
