New Appointment System Monday 12th July

Dear Patient

RE: New appointment system at Crewkerne Health Centre

Following feedback from our patients we will be launching a new appointment system from Monday 12th July.

When you contact the Health Centre for an appointment with a member of our GP or ANP team you will be offered a telephone call with the appropriate clinician. This will be either on the same day if you feel your condition is clinically urgent or another day that suites you and your clinician of choice (usually a two hour window). If you put your request in through askmyGP you will receive  a message back from us stating the date and time  when the clinician will contact you.

From the 12th you will only be able to make an appointment by ringing us (or attending in person if you are unable to access a telephone). AskmyGP has been temporarily switched off to allow us to clear the current calls within the system. We hope to be able to turn askmyGP back on again for patients by the end of July.

Please consider if your issue can be dealt with another way by self-help – NHS website www.nhs.uk or visiting the local pharmacy https://www.nhs.uk/service-search/pharmacy/find-a-pharmacy.

For information regarding coronavirus visit: www.gov.uk/coronavirus .

We appreciate that many patients already have a request in so please bear with us while we work through the backlog. We have been supported by our whole Symphony family to set up extra clinics to work through these and we are hugely thankful to them for their time. Thank you for your understanding in advance, we will resume normal service as soon as it is safe to do so.

Kind regards

Clinical Leads: Dr John Horne & Dr Tim Quinlan

Practice Manager: Ruth Bagg

National Covid-19 Vaccination Programme

We know that people will be very keen to find out about our local plans for the vaccination programme in Somerset. We are currently working together with our local health and care providers to develop a detailed Somerset-wide plan to deliver the vaccinations in a safe and effective way for the priority groups identified by the Joint Committee on Vaccination and Immunisation.

Please do not contact the surgery directly – we will contact you when it is time to have your vaccination.
